Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford as she is most commonly referred to as was an American born British singer and guitarist who led the female-only hard rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. It was not possible for the band to be popular in America, but they gained a lot of popularity in other countries particularly Japan. The band broke up in 1979 Ford embarked upon a successful solo career in the world of heavy metal. She began taking voice classes before releasing her debut album "Out to Blood" which was followed by "Dancin" in the Edge. The two albums didn't receive much success and Ford just vanished out of the scene for a couple of years. Her smashing hit, 'Lita came out in 1989. Both the single "Kiss me Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were big hits. Unfortunately her success was short-lived and she vanished from the music industry for a few years. Her release of Black in 1995 was followed by fifteen year wait for 'Wicked wonderland. The album she released was Time Capsule in 2016. The singer was honored with The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.
